The Scottsdale Arts Festival will be bubbling over with art and super-clean fun, quite literally, with Baltimore artist Scott Pennington’s incredible Pink and Blue Dilemma: The Foam Incident. Presented in collaboration with Scottsdale Public Art, this interactive art installation invites visitors to play with water-based soap suds that spill from a colorful factory as Pennington’s pink-and-blue-clad ‘technicians’ attempt to contain the flood of bubbles. Thirty-minute-long ‘foam incidents’ will occur five times a day throughout the Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Visit SMoCA’s booth near the LOVE sculpture to enjoy FREE hands-on architecture-themed activities on Saturday and Sunday, and experience an “Inflatable,” a nomadic tent structure inspired by the Ant Farm, an experimental collective founded in San Francisco in 1968. Located on the west side of Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, the Museum also offers FREE admission throughout Festival weekend.
